I am convinced per capita the most racist groups are prisoners and middle schoolers.
I had quite the opposite experience. I taught in an integrated school in suburban Maryland in the mid-1970s...we were still under court ordered busing. The kids got along fine. The parents didn't necessarily.
In fact, I always taught or administered in very mixed schools and there were RARELY problems of race.

Conservative in the US pale in comparison to Saudi Arabia, Iran and any Islamic Republic for that matter. It's like comparing Liberals in the US to Canada.

What does "fewer white people" mean?
Diversity does not imply that white birthrates should be restricted, so there need be no fewer white people in a diverse society than there would be otherwise: They'd all be free to reproduce to the same degree either way.
