America is on the downfall.. a 700 billion dollar bailout so the corprate idiots can go on a million dollar retreat... fourth and fith generation welfare recipients getting paid out of my pockets to sit around and do nothing. can u recommend something else? how can you love this country when it founded on, and fundamentally works different than you are advocating? You sir have benefited from our capitalist society. You really only know of what you read about Marxism. It looks great in theory, but EVERY single country that has tried any form of communism has failed, or dropped into poverty. NOT one has succeeded. European countries, while more socialistic than the U.S. are a hybrid of the two systems, they have free and open markets but with high regulation. They are suffering for there socialistic parts as well. Most of the countries that offer "free" health care are going broke, England was sinking so badly that they have freed up some of its health care to the market, and now are doing much better, yet still suffering. In our own country, the socialistic programs that were put in place are falling apart at the seams. Medicare is going broke, Social Security is going broke. Social Security Disability pay is going broke. Many state retirement programs are going broke. America will NOT let its self get to the point of Government controlling everything, We are the boss, not our government.

That's a misconception. If you had bothered to study neo-conservative thought on the issue from the mid -1970s through the present, US concerns lie with having access to oil, ensuring it is distributed through market principles and that it is sold in US Dollars.

The Cubans have an health care system, standard of living, and quality of life superior to that of any of the US supported puppet governments in the region.
Cuba is 50th on the Human Development Index while US puppet governments of Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala are in the 110s.
Even Vietnam has managed to surpass Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala in standard of living and quality of life in just 30 years in spite of brutal US economic sanctions and embargoes.
