I'm responsible for my kids, and no one else. If they can't spell, add, read, or think; then I must do better. We see our kids' own "weaknesses" and help address them, we don't expect someone else to do that for us.

Money isn't the issue, caring adults that want their kids to do great IS.

If you expect the govt' to raise your kid for you, then you are NOT a parent.
Ok 88, I think I see where you took me wrong.

"I'm responsible for my kids, and no one else." What I meant was that I am responsible for my kids, not the school dist. or even you. I didn't mean that I am ONLY responsible for my kids. I didn't make that clear, and your first impression is to take it bad, fair enough.

When you talked about school dist, you brought in the gov't. I do not believe that the school should teach my kids EVERYTHING. A parent has a responsibility and they should NOT put it in anyone elses' hands. If you do, then your not a parent, you just "reproduce".

Do you understand my, badly worded, post now? Take my posts in a negative fashion, or take them in a positive fashion; I will do my best to clear them up.

If it means anything to you, cave man, I certainly didn't misinterpret your posts, and it seems to me from them that you must be a loving parent, and a tough loving parent at that.

I have thought for some time that if we dispensed with the social promotions to the next grade, and instead required parents to PAY an additional fee whenever the child had to repeat a grade that the problem would lessen itself over time.
