Our health care cost is 2.3-trillion. That comes out to about $20,000 per household of middle class working stiffs, whose median income it $45,000. Those are expensive burgers and fries. And it won't help to just refuse to go to McDonalds, and stay home and eat tater tots and hot pockets and spaghetti-os and trix instead. If that's what's in your cupboard at home, you might as well go to McDonalds.

Yep, yet another way to try and tell us what we can or can't put in our bodies. It's simple, if you don't like it don't eat there! And while we're at it, lets just ban Dunkin Donuts, or Pizza Hut (or insert favorite pizza joint here). Hey, why stop there? Let's just ban ALL fast food joints! And while we're at it, we might as well ban cigarettes and alcohol too. I'm sick of the movement in this country trying to tell others what is good or not good for us as an individual! Give me a break! I think any person with half a brain realizes that McDonalds is not the most healthy place to eat. If you eat there everyday, yeah it's a problem, but once in awhile isn't going to hurt.

What, exactly, is "another way" to tell us that? What are you referring to?

By the way, are you proud to live in the fattest country in the world, whose life expectancy isn't even in the Top 30? When you travel abroad on vacation, to you gloat to your European acquaintances about how fat Americans are and how young we die, and how much of our wealth we squander on health care trying to repair what we "put in our bodies"?

Nobody banned cigarettes in this country. They banned persuading young Americans to smoke through systematic indoctrination. And that, to you , was a bad thing.

Why is it such a terrible thing, for the American people to try to minimize the damage to our society caused by the most foolish among us?

First of all... I'm not fat. Never had issues with weight, other than having problems gaining it! I have a high metabolism. Secondly, I feel it's my body, and my right to do with it what I want. I don't need the government, or someone else to decide what is bad for me to eat, or drink. I'm completely fine with warning labels, and nutritional information, but let ME decide!

I see. It is pretty obvious that almost everybody else is at least as intelligent as you are, so it's OK to let them decide, too.

Live and let live. If you don't like McDonalds, don't eat there. It's simple. Just like if you don't like what is on the radio or tv, change the channel, or turn it off. Life is too short to worry about the little things.

And even shorter if you disregard them.
