I've lived in Greensboro my whole 20 years but I've never been one to dabble into the local restaurants like that. I just wanted some recommendations on the good local places to eat, I see so many around town. Preferably in the UNCG area if possible, nothing outside of the city though. If you could give one for each style of food, ie mexican, asian cuisine, pizza, etc. that'd be great!

if you don't mind paying a little bit Josephine's on Spring Garden and Table 16 (really expensive) are solid
Boba House on Tate Street
Phoenix Asia (i like it better than PF Changs and no wait)
Imperial Koi (really good sushi)
Palmetto - southern/cajun - really good fried chicken and shrimp/grits

I think I have another post on this site somewhere where I list out a few others but i don't think i inlcuded the ones above

We'll be at Green Valley Grill for Easter Brunch and Flemings Steakhouse for a birthday this weekend. We've been to both before and they're both excellent -- food and service!

I recommend the Tiramisu.
Fincastles on S Elm, sinfully good (don't go there if you're dieting)
Ganache Bakery on N Elm, Cheesecakes by Alex on S Elm, both to satisfy the sweet tooth in you.
Cooper's Ale House on W Market; Expansive menu with entrees, salads, sandwiches, wraps, & a lot of beer.
Iron Hen Cafe on Cridland Rd: American cuisine. Love their peanut butter & banana french toast.
Opa! on S Elm: Mediterrainian
Mellow Mushroom on S Elm: Pizza

Many of the places I named I discovered just by going in and checkng it out. If it's bad you don't go back.
