This Wednesday. oh and NOT a rumor. Nikki Haley will be here for it also. Media came through and is now confirming it. Remember who said Hughes was involved.
Greenville News has a story with info about the 2:30pm announcement. Of course no details are provided, other than the fact that the developer and Governor won't be the only people there. As we said earlier, this seems large enough to contain a significant corporate presence in addition to the retail and residential space.
Don't shoot the messenger if any of these turn out to be wrong in the end:
-Urban Outfitters, B&N, and Sephora have apparently signed leases.
-A movie theater was in the works but the status of that is unknown at this time. Apparently, the company who was going to do it originally pulled out due to costs. That's not to say another movie company couldn't come in and install one though.
@g-man if that is true, then this is def a serious development that will contribute in a major way to main street, downtown, & ultimately the upstate. glad to hear that information.

I'm thinking that the movie theater thing is a real lynch pin for a new development downtown. I mean, we've already got tons of shops & restaurants. Theaters, esp. with something special (IMAX, etc) would be a new and exciting draw that downtown doesn't already have.
I want an imax and a bowling alley, can we get this done please?
