The Great Gals of Greer a/k/a The 3G Group is a new Meet-Up Group for women nearing 40 on up that live in the Greer area.

While the group will be planning on fun things to do with the members, it would also like to have a sense of community and is interested in finding local non-profit organizations in the Greer area that could use volunteers, whether it be one person needed (like helping answer phones) or a group of 3G members to help when a bigger need for volunteers are needed. While the focus is on volunteering within the Greer area, outside areas where the 3G Group could "represent" would also be considered.

Can anyone suggest any organizations in the area like this? Is there a local Meals on Wheels, Adult Literacy Program, Food Bank, a homeless shelter in the area where food servers are needed, Reading for the Blind, etc. etc. in the area that you know of?

The group thanks you in advance for any help!

The Taylors Free Medical Clinic needs volunteers to. There is great need from everything to greeters, to check-in, nurses, folks to answer the phone, clerical and many other worthwhile opportunities.

And soon the Humane Society will be a little closer located at the Downtown airport. Volunteers I'm sure are needed there.

I haven't moved there yet, but i have been speaking to the Greenville Literacy Association - https://www.greenvilleliteracy.org/contact for volunteer activity. They have good information online.
