Hello

My husband and i have been in an Anderson hotel for the last month with our 18month old while waiting for our house in Seneca to close and have no clue in terms of recommendations for doctors, dentists etc and websites i've visited do not giveaway much and would rather get some real opinions if i may?

We mainly need to find a decent family doctor in the seneca/clemson area if anyone on here goes to any?

Also i am finding it hard to find things to do with my little boy that doesn't involve driving all the way to Greenville! we've been to the park next to the civic centre in Anderson but are limited to the baby swings there are there any more parks/places to visit that are local?

Thank you in advance

You might try South Cove County Park for some recreational facilities. During the summer a lot of people put their boats in there and during those months there is a charge for getting in the gate but residents can buy a yearly pass. There is also a group of Dr's that my mother in law used to use on Radio Station Rd although I can't remember the name.

My wife and I lived in Seneca (actually in a Lake Keowee community) for 3 years in the early to mid-2000's. I loved the serenity and lake activities. My wife hated it because there were limited children's activities and average (at best) shopping. We now live just south of downtown Greenville - of course, my wife (and kids) love this part of the Upstate. If it weren't for my wife's objections, I'd move back to Lake Keowee tomorrow.

I never recommend physicians publicly but I would be happy to respond via a direct message.

In my opinion, Oconee Medical Center is fantastic with a (relatively) new patient tower and numerous specialists (due to all the out-of-state retirees).

The great advantage of being an Oconee County resident is easy access to Highlands, NC, Gorges State Park, Whitewater Falls, and Lakes Keowee/Jocassee.

Not sure of your sons age but there is Shaver Rec & Gignilliat Community Center. Also try Seneca Parks & Recreation Dept. if interested. They offer youth basketball, softball, soccer & football. Ram Cat Alley has seasonal live music & art shows & if you prefer history the Lunney House Museum. Have you been to Duke Energy?
