The Tony's in this thread is in reference to the one on Haywood. They're not affiliated with the other Tony's.
Believe it or not one the most consistently best tasting pizzas that I've had so far is at Whole Foods.
Just wanted you to know that your post on Wednesday helped me decide to stop by Whole Foods again on Monday afternoon for more of that delicious pizza! It is always difficult to decide what to eat there, with so many wonderfully satisfying choices available, but your post specifically about their pizza made it easy that day. Thank you!
OK, Greenvillians, I did a search and could not find a thread devoted specifically to pizza.
My daughter's birthday is this Saturday and want to get some excellent pizza for her party.
I despise national pizza chains (Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc.). I tried Frodo's last Sunday and thought it was just average (I swear the mushrooms they use come directly from a can!).
It's hard to find a good pizza place, especially in Greenville. Frodo's has been around as long as I can remember. I think the Frodo's in front of Greenville Tech is better than the other locations (last time I ate at the Cherrydale location it was terrible!). Personally I like Pebble Creek Pizza's thin crust (how do they get it so thin?!?). But if you want some really good pizza try Michael's Pizza in downtown Easley.
I just got back from Fratellis Pizza Pasta in Easley right off of 123. About 10 mins from downtown. I just got to rant and rave about this pizza. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and I know good pizza when I taste one. The pizza guy up front was even flipping the pizza's in the air for our entertainment.....LOL.....The ingredients, down to the sauce were fresh. I have been to Tony's and Tito's and I always felt they were the closest to NY style pizza but sorry guys......this new place is the best by far. I am hoping they open a new location in Greenville.....:-(
