Noticed today they are grading the area between Kohls and Sams on Woodruff Rd. Anyone heard whats going there? More Stores I am sure. Also grading has begun next to Hardees for I think what was reported to be a Krispy Kreme on this board.
Are the parking spaces next to Kohl's being including in the grading? If so, that means more tenants, hopefully.
Yes, the asphalt is being removed next to Kohls and the road between Kohls and Sams.
Looking at an aerial view, using Bing Maps, the grassed trapezoird and 44 parking spaced on the side of Kohl's are eliminated. With the road connecting Kohl's and Sam's being closed, I can see a mid-sized structure, maybe 15,000 square feet, going up.
Have any building permits been issued for the site yet?

Both Michael's and Books-a-Million's stores are about 30,000 square feet. One occupies a former Circuit City. The other has ample room as it was a Hechinger's. Was Michael's rumored to move out to Woodruff Road?
What could be ruled out? Pet supply stores like Petsmart and Petco and office supply stores like Staples, Office Depot and Office Max.
I am suprised the shopping center that houses Hobby Lobby on Woodruff hasn't expanded. Their is land next to it (on the left of Hobby Lobby beside WalMart) where a junior anchor could be built. Not many of those vacant opportunities left on that part of Woodruff. I have always thought that would be a good spot for Fresh Market if they ever build a Woodruff Rd store.
The Fresh Market eyed Woodruff Road for a second Greenville area store years ago next to Graceland East memorial gardens. Opposition killed off the idea. I agree locating next to Hobby Lobby would be great.
Hoping the Mauldin Chicora Alley opens in a couple weeks as estimated.
