Staying with the Mexican theme, I've heard positive reviews about Taco Parrilla (http://www.tacoparrilla.com/index.html - broken link) in downtown Greer (former location of Gerard's).
We haven't been yet, but I've seen ads with a pic of the interior - it certainly looks downtown Greenville-worthy! Between that, Great Bay Oyster House, The Cazbah and Bin 112, downtown Greer is becoming a small foodie epicenter on the Eastside!

Add Riveras, Sushi Mizu and Wild Aces to that list.
Looking at the list from g-man, we have to say that we are pretty lucky here in Greenville to have such a varied retail establishment.
Today I was trying to think of what other chain type of retail store we could use in this area and all I could come up with besides Bass Pro Shops which has been mentioned already, was Fry's Electronics.
There is room to grow in the restaurant category though. I would like to see more big name restaurants out towards the Simpsonville area also. Which would allow more choices with dinner and catching a movie at the new theater.
- Karrie's Deli will NOT be serving the food for Hoops and Hops as previously stated. This is due to SLED regulations regarding food being brought in from another location to a bar.

I"m sure when/if the overall economy really gains momentum and developers resume building residential properties en masse again, places like the Fairview Rd area of Simpsonville will be rife with all kinds of new retail/dining.

Did you mean to say, "due to DHEC regulations"? Just trying to understand why SLED would be involved in regulating food safety.
