Merry Christmas elston. Enjoy the quiet!
Joyce will be driving us to my sons house for a short visit and gift giving to the grand children and then home again. Joyce invited my friend who has been such an amazing help and friend to a steak dinner later. He decided to bring sweet potatoes.
My neighbor who lost her husband this year to ALS brought us wonderful gift cards. Joyce was so shocked--she said they don't even know me! Ah but they know what you are doing! So sweet!

Christmas can be a sad time for a widow. While we always go to my sister's for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day I was alone for a good part of the day. It made me sad realizing I am growing older alone.

Just want to say that I hear you and understand. We all start out in our original or adopted family and then move out and enjoy the companionship of friends...then some marry and start their own families and are once again surrounded with primary relationships...then the kids move out and on and it is just "the two of you".....but unfortunately that sometimes, for myriad reasons....becomes one. I am glad that you have your sister and hope you have the support of friends.

Working hard with my arm. I try to take the sling off for most of the morning. It's just going to take time. Lifting it up is the hardest!
Hope everyone stays safe in this wicked weather!
