The 357 SIG doesn't have a lot of recoil but it is very-very loud and has a huge muzzle blast and flash out of the G-33! My G-32 and G-31 are more mild. I would call it the equivalent to a snubnose .357 MAG with 125 grain JHP! If you can handle it's bark the bad guy won't like its bite!
I keep hearing more and more about the .357 Sig caliber. I don't know a lot about it. It seems like a lot of people are carrying it now.

Even though I carry the M&P I still find my groups are slightly better with with the G27. It's a very accurate gun.

If you wanted to keep just one G-27 and not purchase a G-33, you can buy a G-33 barrel for your G-27 to convert it to 357 SIG. The magazines are the same in Glocks. This is a drop in replacement and you will have two handguns in one switching back and forth in seconds anytime you want!

To me the recoil is the same, maybe even a little less than a .40 S&W. It is more of a quick snap than a push. There is no comparison to a full power .357 MAG recoil with a 357 SIG. You get similar performance with much less recoil, higher capacity (more firepower), quicker reloading and faster follow-up shots! It's awesome but not for everybody YET! It only came out in '94 and is still relatively new. It's catching on though!

Here is a new tool to get the magazine base plates off in short order. On a Glock, it isn't the easiest to do for most people. A good field strip and cleaning may be needed. This helps! https://www.mygtul.com/products.php (broken link)

Thanks, that is good to know. Although I don't think I want to stock another caliber. I'm starting to run out of room, I've got to keep stock on .22lr, 9mm, .40, .357mag, 10mm, .223/5.56 and 7.62x39.

Finally had the opportunity to handle a Gen. 4 G-22. The previous G-22 models were significantly too large for my hand. Not so with the slimmest grip on the Gen. 4 G-22! With the improved recoil spring the G-22 (.40 cal) now shoots like a 9mm. I've been told the 9mm in the Gen 4 shoot like a .22lr.

Sure it takes GLOCK a while to come around but when they do the result is quality and dependability. Finally those of us with smaller hands aren't forced into snubby revolvers or S&W, Sig Sauer pistols.

ughhh sig... what an overpriced turd... IMHO

I was NEVER a glock fan, until I shot one, then I had to have one.

I hated the way they held in my hands, until I wanted to shoot a xd at the range when my gun guy had one with him, and then i shot his g30... and that was it

I bought one when they first came out. What a great powerful round. It can shoot through a windshield and not change course when it hits the glass.

The only problem is that it's become difficult to find SIG 357 rounds. I just replaced my 357 with a 40. Much easier to find ammo and just as reliable.

That's weird. I can find .357 Sig rounds at any gun store here. Hell, even the Walmart has them.
