So, happy to report I am moving Va Beach in two weeks! And, also happy to be moving to an area with so many disc golf courses!

But, wanted to see what the local scene is like? Anyone on here play? Anything you can share is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am a recent convert to the sport. Have been playing for a little over a year and am completely hooked! And, if you are reading this and you have not tried disc golf, give it a try...you will love it! Check this out!

Bayville Farms Park seems to be pretty popular. I go with my friends every now and then but we aren't serious about the sport (just bought a cheap set of disks from Dicks). Those guys up there have carrying cases with tons of different disks in them and seem to throw it a mile. If you are gonna be in VB that seems like the best place to start.

Everything UHgrad says is true. Too funny about people with carrying cases for their frisbee discs. And yes, they seem to throw them a mile PLUS then they also roll a mile afterward.
Across the bridge in Hampton/NN, I've heard of some regular recurring events up that way. Check meetup.
Good pizza at Shorebreak in the neighborhood should be mentioned too.

Thanks for the tips, friends! I am actually one of those crazy people that carries a bag full of discs...just like this one:

And, I can get some good distance on my drives as well. You would be surprised, every discs has it's own tendencies and even though I carry 22 per round, I will throw them all at some point.

I look forward to the move and playing Bayville and eating at Shorebreak! Thanks for the tips!
