Hey Apprentice,
I was reading you posts. How old are you and where do you come from? I'm interested in what makes you want to come to HI? Are you bored where you live now? Do you have family and friends? Are you running away from something? I'm interested in knowing.
Do you find yourself humble? Are you aggressive? There is a large population that struggles to live here and can't find work. The majority of companies will not hire you over the internet. They often expect you to have lived here a couple years. Trust me, a lot of people think they can come here, work a little and leave. It's almost like a giant bus stop in the Pacific.
From what I've read, I think you should try to find some work in Waikiki. Or try moving to Central America.
Hope you know HI has the worst traffic and most expensive flights in/out in the entire country! Its not easy living here. It takes a certain person to live here and acknowledge Aloha. What makes you think this is the place for you and what you have to offer is better then the local community? Goodluck

From last to first,

if I was to say the people and the various ethnics..I would be faced with telling the truth or telling a lie or just not knowing..I know I like diversity. Getting to meet different people. From Irish to Chinese to Micronesian to Hawaiian to etc. In fact I enjoy talking to older people about past times and present...or just talk stories. Hawaii is a small place with alot of people so the chances are easy to enjoy community.
I will not compare here to there by far...Its very nice here yet very different.

As flights go I can get from the east coast to Honolulu or Kona for less than 800 dollars; that is with transportation to hit the streets when I get there.

Traffic is bad I heard. All the times a rode on the H1 it was either Sunday or late in the evening...though I rode the bus alot. I was able to see many routes on the small town roads: or go through pearl city into town etc.

Central America what is there that sound like it would be for me, yea what's there!
Why wakiki, I believe I could get a job in wakiki yet to me it is very flashy. I know people would think of nothing but the best: oh I think of and dealer this daily at work though I am into producing better.

I know people are shielding themselves from deserter, lazy employees, and so on... I see it here though they take alot from locals: people that make it there duty to be close. My work has to stand test: figure the old days are not to old, they are just as much here as then. I put alot of emphasis on my work and pleasing the employeer, yes but there has to be a balance that gives me satisfaction! Live there a couple years man if things are supplied a man will live anywhere forever: that is how long he lives or within a good standing between his agreement that he made with such employeer!
I know about the population that can't find work or that has work yet live in cars. First hand met some of the people: talking to, riding by, seeing...heard of some others...saw some :come to Hawaii with others to not be in that most definite situation.
I am humble or aggressive. It seems like I should automatic answer yes to both...aggressive because over in Makiki scooters are being stole daily or in such in such vacinity someones Nissan Kouki has been strip (no matter you are local star on not), then have to be aware of the local stars who demand respect then the young Hawaiian locals there...Humble, to be able to stay in the right path and out of the way : out of the prison that I saw on the alittle bit outside of the city, humble to position myself in a place where I have no high number of friendship....yet I figure I should be circumspect and sided with a few that I have come to do something. Like the happening goes I had a job driving fruit around town to local markets I quit ( he quit) yet I would not mind having a courier job delivering fruit. If I utilize the whole Hawaii I will not be in a position of arguing with locals about their thoughts, waring with groups, being in prison, being messed with by police officers, having a job yet no place to stay (with all its reasons), getting a job: even here I had to wait awhile for a job and when I got one I met more opportunities when that employeer wanted to act funny!

Why come to HI, why not! why leave the South in the Carolinas and got Hi lets say Kona. Kona, get to see the hills not like the piedmont country...the tropical feel...the different way of doing things altogether......Like this I shot basketball in a gym from mid day to late...Where I am from gym are run much different... people in Kona are not like the type that get all in someone's business then say well its to protect themselves! a cool place. Beautiful in it own right...yeah is near the water another plus go to the harbour and by fresh fish...ride my scooter up mountains to see tropical vegetation and volcanoes...work buy a truck or dirt bike: ride the mountains...when the 100 plus acre of recreation area is built...ride the bikes out there... go to Hilo meet some college people... extra income go pick fruit and nuts or just work at a farm for room and board (take it easy) make money enjoy life. Honolulu, pick the right time go become an auto body specialist or mechanic by apprentice work: or any other automotive type field. Work in a grocery story get a paper route, work at parking facility, work fast food, work for room and board: many opportunities...yeah meet different people who Iam beneficial to just as much as they are beneficial to me! What make it to Japan, China, Samoa, Micronesia, from HI anywhere. So my answer ready to be in a position to start a family (not gonna make it here with work strong and for numerous years when people work for a few months and less than half to receive hirer wages with more respondsibility), bored not agreeing on how people act (I could say its only me but I would have to have another run on sentence about slip ups), running away (no ready build on my class) to some people being classed as leech is good enough I am willing to prove people wrong and back it with money and know how.
It is interesting and I turned 25 a week and couple of days ago!
How it goes I have to make it! with troubles or with pleasantries

Oh yeah I would not mind match or discussing herbal remedies with people. What with a the vegetation and grow one could go outside to find many pain relievers and body immune system enhancers

LOL! HUH

I could not understand what you were getting at. Correct me if I'm wrong. You want to move to the islands, and live off the land. You plan on grabbing any job, such as delivering fruits to the markets on a dirt-bike, and drive around on heavenly open roads up tropical lush hills on a scooter with two birds on your shoulder singing sweet songs. (sorry, it was like I was there with you)
When your hungry, you're just going to go down to the harbor and buy some fresh fish.
By the way, great backup if you need extra cash. I used to pick nuts and fruits and sell them too. Choke money.
Maybe you can climb up trees and pick pineapples for money too.
Then in a couple years, you plan on getting a auto mechanic job in Honolulu?
Do you have experience working on a farm in South Carolina? Thats tough work. You gotta have that special wrist snap for working on some fields. And plenty cloths. It gets cold.
I read this great book, I think it was called something like "Robinson Caruso" or was it that movie with the guy from Titanic in it. Anyway, I think you could carve a boat from a Koa tree; and make some spears from the sugar cane to catch Ulua, lobster, and some fresh squid.
(remember, no Humu's ok?) Then you could cook it over a nice kiawe pit.
I know you will stay away from bad things. You seem like a what with a the good guy. Dog would find ya anyway.
Mahalo for sharing your plans with us.

Next!
Hey but remember in Robinson Crusoe when he was traveling across europe in the mountains all those wolf dogs....talking about heartless...yeah right!
why would a dog be looking for me: yeah I stay in what Iam going to do! Not really, what I do. To bring to a plain look at it. I plan on taking it easy: no rush! No rush for money or food. Use my mind instead of speed!
Use in depth know how instead of any joke or adjective that comes to mind.

Not to sound rude, and I'm sorry if I do, but it's very hard to figure out a lot of what you are saying. I think it is because of your writing style of "stream of consciousness" writing. I wish you all the best in your move, and hope you find the lifestyle you are looking for.

Consider investigating the Puna District on the Big Island (Hilo side, near the Volcano). I am not TOTALLY clear on what you are looking for, but there seems to be alot of young people there eeking out a living in exchange for the experience of living in Hawaii. Hilo is more reasonable than many places in the islands, but that is relative, because you won't find Hawaiian living "cheap" anywhere.

Yes, during my research I found that the Puna District was much cheaper, but keep in mind that much of it is out in the middle of nowhere, far from any convieniences, and off the grid so to speak. Also be careful where you go since I believe that some of it is in the volcano zone. There are reasons when the price is "right."

All of Puna is in a volcanic hazard zone. Supposedly all of Puna will be covered in lava repeatedly until Kilauea is as large as Mauna Kea. It's just something you have to accept to live here.

As far as surroundings go compare kona to puna!
for those that have been to kona you know the beauty of it so inform me; in the subject of puna!

my writting style to me is considered apart of construction, it forms my outcome. It is not the base yet the building....is it lacking: I have a subject..is it dominating: as long as I have it I will have an ability to get somewhere...is it legible; yes...this is my writting style.

but like most papers here is my outline: it is easy.
live, work, enjoy my hobby....meet people that are tolerable, friendly, about something! Life in Hawaii for the racing man, apprentice type of man, etc ..
This is should be understandable: forget about before if you could not understand, this should be the yeah this more like!
Thank you, And I welcome others to write.
