Great point here by Mikala and Mary... I too get frustrated with all the pills I have had to take, and treatments and surgeries, but then I realize that if it were not for modern medicine at this point I would probably have stage IV cancer or be very close to it.

If/when you get sick enough, you will try anything, too!

Great video--amazing and very inspiring

Marilee did you get the time to watch it? It starts out sort of slow and corny, but gets better and better and is an amazing story of three people who totally turned their health around and got off all meds.

Didn't get a chance to watch it, but I will. I really, really want to put an end to all the pills----or at least some fo them!

I just got through watching it and I want to thank you for posting it.

Not that it will work in all cases but you never can tell. I'm not a person who eats junk food or drinks soda but I think more fruits and vegetables could only be a good thing. I could try it for ten days. Those people in the movie are just amazing in what they accomplished.

Reading this thread makes me glad I don't have to take all of those meds (yet). Have any of you that suffer from psoriasis tried coconut oil? I realize you can't get rid of the prednisone because it helps the RA but maybe you can get rid of the creams you are using. My daughter says it is the only thing that helps her hubby's psoriasis and she looks for a natural cure for everything; even washing her hair!

Honey, do you eat wheat products? And rye, contaminated oats, barley? Gluten has been implicated in auto-immune dis-eases. Leaky gut much? Rheumatoid arthritis is just one auto-immune dis-ease.

Do you know what psoriasis is? If the OP was taking meds for RA before she got psoriasis, then it is likely what CAUSED it! Your skin is a major detox channel and ever seen a meth head? Their toxins come out of their pores, rendering their face full of open sores. Same sh*t, different dis-ease/disorder...

Oh, geez!

First of all I take METHOTREXATE, which has no relationship to methamphenamines! No, just because they sound similar, doesn't mean they are! Good to point that out, I will be careful not to say such to the uninformed, don't need to give them yet another arrow for their quiver.

Uber....do YOU know what psoraisis is? I try to keep my posts simple, but can only go so far---psoraisis and rheumatoid are related diseases. Actually, what I have is called psoraitic arthritis, which is a sub-form of rheumatoid.

Psoraisis is an auto-immune skin disease, wherein the skin turnsover, or produces new skin cells before the top layers have matured, causing constant sloughing of the skin. There are 4 sub-types, I don't feel like looking them up, you can look them up if you wish. I happen to have plaque psoraisis, and no, I don't have "toxins oozing out of the pores on my face"

First, its all the person's fault for having RA, they are overweight, don't exercise, then its their fault for taking anything to offer relief. You truly don't know what you're talking about, but thanks for insight into your point of view. Guess I now know NOT to mention, I take methotrexate, except to those educated in the disease, unless they assume I'm taking some sort of "meth"

I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I understand your original post and your dilemma completely! I have had well meaning people tell me all of my life that I just needed a little moisturizer.

The medications available leave us with some hard choices, and, because psoriasis tends to wax and wane, its sometimes hard to know what's helping. "Helping" is the word, because there is no cure.

I love coconut oil and vegetables, and I still have to run the vacuum every day.

and, yes...... the coconut oil is extra virgin cold pressed and the vegetables are organic!
