I go to Carter Blood Supply or whatever it's called, Carter Something or Other, and I get various things. I mean, some I don't use or I give away but I did recently get a gift card for $20 worth of gas, and I used that, believe me!
They give me things like bags, teeshirts, beach towels. I try to tell them I don't want these things but I just take them now and give them away. I have a bunch of nieces/nephews that will take anything. Of course I don't give them the amazon gift certificates.

Our son died from cancer and had to have many, many blood transfusions and plasma infusions while in the hospital
Yesterday was his birthday
Our daughter donated blood
She did it last year too… he dies in April, 2020…
I'm so sorry.
My dad died of a rare autoimmune disorder that caused very low platelets. I give platelets in his memory. He had a platelet transfusion,and some sort of treatment that had about a 60 percent chance of success - it worked for a few weeks but then stopped working and he died. Very sad.
