jtur88,
OMG, give it up. You are turning the boring topic of a flag into an argument.

In fact, the only thing interesting about Idaho's history is the unique fact that I pointed out...
You really do not know anything about Idaho history if you feel the most interesting aspect of it is what you pointed out Idaho history is just as unique and exciting as any other western state, if not more so. I never said that a fort or flag causes Idaho history to be more interesting than another state...OMG again, lay it to rest.

Interesting the fervant cases people make for their home states. Although all states have their history it must be admitted that some have more eventful and important histories than others.

My own state of Illinois has a fairly interesting history and it's role in American political, economic and social history is crucial but I'd no problem with the notion that Texas (a state I dislike by the way) has a richer history.

I was not even born in this Country.

Personally, I was just answering the question as truthfully as possible. I have no fish to fry in any debate over which has the MOST interesting history.

I think Rhode Island has one of the most interesting histories...... a state founded on the principals of true religious freedom, in part by a woman no less, Ms. Anne Hutchinson...first to rebel against the British....first to celebrate Fourth of July..... first to industrialize.....and played a huge role in the slave trade between SC and the Carribbean, not that that's anything to be proud of. Of course they are all interesting.

Yeah, if there were a top 5 most interesting state histories, Louisiana and Texas would definitely be on there, along with Florida, California, and Oklahoma.

My vote would also go to Louisiana -- both for its multicultural history, and for its complex politics, which have been described as "matched only by the Republic of Lebanon."

I like the history of Arizona, New Mexico and California. I especially like the history of my state, Missouri, because I like reading about old west outlaws.
