If you're near a body of water, you'll hear it with any scanner.

Default Brings back memories : )

I was an enthusiast when I was younger in the 90's. had a large whip antenna on my fire escape. Used to talk to a few regulars. Some interesting people were on there. Used to get some nice distance with the antenna and unit. Skip was an interesting phenomenon, Hearing voices from so far away.

I think I had a cobra brand or something like that. I have no idea where it went as i moved a few times in my years.
