Alrighty then folks... it is the eve of game #1 for the Rangers! Tough west coast trip to start out and tough October in general as the first 9 games are on the road! Here's what our lines are looking like for tomorrow night:

Richards-Stepan-Nash
Pouliot-Brassard-Zuccarello
Pyatt-Boyle-Fast
Miller-Moore-Dorsett/Asham

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Del Zotto
Moore-Stralman

Lundqvist

I don't think those lines are enough to get the job done. I hope I am wrong. However, the D pairings look great. GO RANGERS!!!!

You have to remember that both Callahan and Haglin are still recovering from their offseason surgeries and will be back soon... once we're back to full strength we should be ready to rock. Until then... just hope some of these new guys over perform and we get off to a good start!

I was not forgetting anything. I was giving my opinion of the lines as presented. I heard Cally won't be back until end November. Hags in December. Is that accurate? Anyone hear differently?

Hagelin has definitely been ruled out for the first 10 games which brings us into November.. I think he'll be ready then... Callahan it sounds like is looking to return on Monday for the Kings game. SO he's way ahead of schedule which is good news... we shall see.

Did you see the first game? I know the score but if you saw the game any comments or observations?

I did see the 1st game. The D looked like they were still learning the system. At times good, but at other times confused. I liked how the D jumped into the rush. I can't decide if Nash is not healthy or if he was not season form, but he was invisible. Richards should be bought out. Obviously, I am not a GM. Just a fan. I have tickets to Game 6 in DC. I expect the Rangers to be 0-5 by then. I hope I am wrong.

The new system has loads of potential... have to give it a little time... but I'm very wary right now... this team got smoked all preseason and then got smoked againt to Phoenix and now it's off to LA tonight.... 9 straight games on the road to start the season is rough enough but to start on the west coast.... ouch.

Hey... could be worse I guess... could be the FLyers.... 1 goal in the first 3 games and they've already fired Laviolette... ouch.

End of 2nd, 2-1 Rangers. I don't care how this game ends up, Rangers look like a totally different team than Game 1. Let's hope they keep up the pressure. Richards with 2 so far. Maybe I was wrong about him. Cally hurt his shoulder. Very concerning.
