One of our cats likes to sleep in it. Instead of taking the beast out SO will turn it into a big window seat with access to water and drain. We move - voila!

I use ours almost daily. So it's not a waste for us. Plus the kid loves it!

I love taking baths to relieve winter chills and to enjoy some reading with bubbles. We had a large garden tub in the master bathroom of our last house, but I preferred soaking in the guest bathroom's standard tub because it took a LOT less water and I could enjoy a really hot bath without emptying the hot water tank. I would design any future master bath with a standard tub that holds ~ 35 gallons, that's plenty of water for me to soak in.

We have a soaker tub and a separate shower in the master bath but the tub has only been used a few times.
We both like showers better.
Our other bathroom has a regular tub/shower.
