Anyone choose central vacuum when building a home?

Years ago, I had one. It was nice to not have to have the motor unit banging into things and it worked well but the huge hose was cumbersome to use. Mine had a powered rug unit which I agree works better. I really liked it at first but the huge hose was difficult to store, a pain to move from outlet to outlet. It was also a pain to empty the big bin. So all in all, it was a toss up when I moved from that house.

What is really easy is the Roomba robot.
