One can certainly tell who's seen their team win before, I can say that much.

I can't wait till Houston slaughters Dallas again in a few more weeks. Shut those Cowgirls up for good. They'll find another excuse though. They always do.

Cowboys 27
Texans 13

LOL, nice try Texans fans but you all are just like a baby learning to walk.
You take a few steps and get all excited, but eventually you fall on your bottom.
Come back when you're grown, and MAYBE you can come sit at the big boys' table.

Texans 2-1. Cowboys 1-2.

Cowboys fans have some big heads after this game. Like I said in the other thread, this was the Cowboys' Super Bowl. Their season was on the line in this game. The Texans came out overconfident and uninspired (Matt Schaub's reaction at the end of the first when they were trying to get a play off is very telling of this). And actually, Houston's defense didn't do bad the first half. It was the second half where they started messing up and the Houston offense still couldn't come through.

Fact of the matter is, Houston is still at the top of their division after this game and play a very winnable game next week against the Raiders. Then the week after against the Giants, Houston gets Brian Cushing back who will really help out our pass coverage.

No, this was the Superbowl for Texans fans. Admit it.
They've had this game circled on the calender for a while now.
Don't try to downplay the game because your team lost.
Mr. Overtrained Athlete won't help their pass defense much, if at all.
It's the deep passes where the Texans keep getting burned.

Not sure Cushing will really help when he returns. Texans secondary was suspect and got exposed today. IMO they're not ready to contend in the AFC...too many good teams in the top tier.

That was exposed in the first week against the Colts. The difference was they were getting to Peyton. They weren't getting to Romo. Getting in the backfield -> hurrying Romo and popping him in the mouth every once in a while -> mistakes -> Cowboys lose. But somehow against an offensive line that looked pathetic in two losses, the Texans failed to perform step one there.

The Texans are still in good shape so far. Three weeks in they're 2-1 and tied for first place, one game with the Colts out of the way. The team is flawed, but so is everyone else in the league. Their problems are similar to those of the Packers (i.e. issues in the secondary and offensive line) and people have been talking Super Bowl about the Pack since the preseason. Which, as a Packer fan, I'd say is a bit premature, just like writing anyone out of the playoff hunt in September.

One massive Texans flaw has been corrected by the change at kicker. Now if only Kubiak will trust Neil Rackers. He almost blew the Washington game by not doing so.

How was this the Super Bowl for Texans fans? Have you not seen or heard Cowboys fans' comments after the game? Go look at any Cowboys forum. You'd think the Cowboys won the Super Bowl after their first win of the season today. Most Texans fans wanted the Colts game over this one (and hey, that's what we got). The Colts game mattered. The Colts game is for the divisional race and playoff seedings. The Cowboys game is just for bragging rights. And this was the Cowboys' Super Bowl (the players here). Their backs were against the wall. They were the desperate team. They needed this win to not fall to 0-3. On the other hand, the Texans were 2-0. A win here would be great for them, but if they lost it would not be a big deal as they would still be at the top of their division and play a very winnable game against Oakland the next week.

As far as Cushing not helping the pass coverage, you couldn't be further from the truth. Cushing helps in the pass rush, as well as in coverage. Do you remember that play where Brookings was in the zone and stepped up right when Schaub was going to throw it to AJ for an easy first down? That's when Ware got his first sack I believe. That's something we miss with Cushing. He didn't have 4 INTs last year for nothing... And once the Texans staff realizes Eugene Wilson sucks and they put in Dominique Barber or Troy Nolan in the game, then our pass coverage will be better. Wilson is so horrible at helping our CBs over the top. The play where Kareem Jackson slipped and Roy Williams got the easy TD, Wilson should have been over there to help Jackson, but he lined up over the center instead...for some odd reason.

Game 3 and we all have our knickers in a twist. Tsk tsk. Let's make the playoffs and then start talking smack.

Just sayin'...

In the end, it's who wins the war that counts, not the battles.
