Thank you. FYI, the picture is just for display purposes. It's not an actual guy.

Interesting, I'd assumed all carried semi-autos these days and while I've never experienced any kind of jam with my Sig I know it's a very real possibility.

Which makes me wonder why the police don't use revolvers which are essentially failure proof.

I guess some may use them as a back-up weapon but I've only ever met a couple of cops and they were staunch Glock advocates.

I've never even heard about a Glock jamming. The weapon's reliability approaches that of a wheel gun, yet holds at least another half-dozen rounds.

All magazine fed weapons have the possiblity of failures. A Glock, Sig or HK might be ultra-reliable but there are more opportunities for some sort of jam to occur and Glocks do jam, just talk to anyone who works at the range............

A revolver is an inherently less failure prone design and 6 round ought to be enough to put multiple assailants down given reasonable accuracy and the correct ammunition.

Small towns?? Hell, they STILL do that here in McLennan County (pop 230,000).

revolvers jam. its very easy to get trash between the cylinder and frame that will cause a malfunction.

I've never seen the Chief of police in my small city wear anything but Blue jeans and dress shirt, pistol in holster on hip, but is typically accompanied by his badge.

I'd assume the individuals that were seen were not 'street beat' cops, but most likely part of some sort of investigative unit, Texas Ranger, etc.

Oh yeah, they even have duels before sunset. Buffalo stampedes, too.

It's like Red Dead Redemption down there.
