??? wasted seven pages to understand my original post...

Before you lace up the spikes I want to understand how you countered my argument. Letters that EPA and TACB disagree dosn't really mean Obama isnt trying to push a green initative or hurt Perry.

Can't wait to vote the SOB outta the office. Texas, Houston had enough with his non-sense and damage to our local economy. This have nothing to do with doing the right thing, is all POLITICS and that's his statement to Texas.

More worthless environmental strong arming by the Obama administration. The permits were ok under the 1990 Clean Air Act. What a waste, the EPA continues to be a joke. If the goal was about cleaning the air and water then I'd say ok. If its to push "green" political agendas (that means you ethanol, looks kind of like that MTBE idea now doesn't it). Houston has about 70% of the nations petrochemical market, so its another jab at Houston and Texas.

Aren't we near the bottom in every pollution category?

Where are we in terms of industrial contribution? No one likes pollution, but everyone likes to drive, and electricity is nice.

Have you been to China lately? Try that for a change and then come back to Houston and have this discussion.

We definitely cant hurt Perry. If he isn't around who in the world will lead us in large random prayers at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

Well you are the one made the statement that Obama is "after" our state so I merely asked where Texas ranks in terms of population, within the USA I might add. I think it's pertinent because it sheds some sort of purpose to the enforcement of federal policies. Don't you think that Texas, being the one of the top (if not the top) emitter, is deserving of more scrutiny when federal laws aren't being followed?

Of course, we need our cars and electricity for our modern world but be reasonable here. Whether industries/businesses pay or we pay, there's no free lunch.
