I don't think anything is going to break through this high, and I would never wish for a hurricane...but a Tropical Storm would be a nice change.

Sunshine is getting a little depressing.

I was just thinking about that yesterday - don't really want a hurricane - but I'll take some downed branches from a tropical storm if it means more than passing spit in the area.

I was talking to somebody at work about that yesterday. We both mentioned that a tropical storm was the only thing that could save us from this drought, but the damn things keeping going elsewhere. I never thought I would see the day when I would complain about a tropical storm NOT hitting Houston.

No, you aren't the only one. I wished for one about a month ago. They were talking about all the storms on televesion, and I just wished one would come and sit over Houston for a few days. Although, it may cause flooding at this point, I still kind of want one.

I would take a nice tropical storm over worrying about my house's foundation all the time.

I'd take one in a second.

It's shocking to drive around town and see everything burned up (especially my yard, now that we've gone to rationing).

Not to mention the fact that I really hate having to tap Lake Conroe. Not that I feel any empathy for the people who live on it (you knew this could happen when you bought property and businesses there), but I'm sad we're reduced to doing it.

I've had 3 water main breaks on my street (and more coming, I'm afraid); I'm in danger of losing my yard; the water from the repaired mains tastes awful; my next door neighbor on one side had his water main break; the neighbor on the other side (whose foundation was just repaired this spring, to the tune of $10,000) now has another serious foundation problem and the estimate is $15,000.

I don't have any issues yet (but then I've been having $200 water bills since April).

Come on tropics, what's up?

If the storm had a max of 60 mph winds and dropped 5 to 6 inches of rain I would welcome a tropical storm like this

We may be the only state rooting for something to come out of the tropics.

I for one wouldn't mind a 60-65mph Tropical Storm.

Something.......
