The density of club/warehouse stores vary by market. It's primarily a function of competitive price differentials. (Club store versus mainstream grocery stores for food as an example.) Consumer goods are relatively inexpensive in Texas. So the price differentials in Texas are not as great as some other areas of the country.

Having said that, I'd love to see a Costco somewhere on FM 1093.

The original developer of that property at Spring Green and 1093 eventually sold the NE corner. The NW corner is now being offered for sale. The original development that potentially included Lowes is no longer in the picture. A Lowe's could still end up in that location.

There is a pretty large piece of vacant land on the NE corner of 1093 and 1463 , surrounded by WLN. Any idea what is planned for that property?

Answering my own question here - just found out it will be a Wal-Mart Supercenter anchored commercial development.

Those two Walmarts will be about 5 miles apart. The Walmart near Katy Mills and the Walmart on Fry are about 4 miles apart. And the distance between the Walmart at Bella Terra and the one at Katy Mills is about 7 miles about (approx driving distances using Google Earth). So, I guess 5 miles between Walmarts is not that big of a deal.

Strange, not sure why posting about a possible store opening would be considered spam.

Also, I am surprised I am not hearing more about this planned Wal-Mart. Usually any Wal-Mart opening plans are accompanied by protests and fears of property devaluation. I would assume WLN residents would be up in arms about this?

I saw the lot size of the Walmart center. The neighboring retail stores that will be built next to it and around it...it's going to be MASSIVE. I live up 1463 and although I do invite retail to the area, something of this size is going to create a ton of traffic to this little intersection. I'm not looking forward to it, but it is nice having super quick access to things I need to buy just down the road. Double edged sword?

Looks like one of the anchors is going to be a movie theater or home department store.
