It was an '83 GL, basically one of those LX 5.0's. After putting a bunch of time & money into the engine, and nearly destroying the clutch w/ 1-2 powershifts @ 50 mph, I wound up selling it to an 18 year old kid. Always wondered what happened to that thing. My guess is someone crashed it like in the video. Even driving around town in regular traffic, you have to know how to properly handle a car like that.

LOL. I heard drag racing on Lake Woodlands all the time when I lived up there. Corvettes ranked pretty high on the aspired cars list, just over old mini-vans.

I have a 95 Cobra (of course with cam, headers, gear, short throw, etc.) that is my fun car, but I am too lame to open it up. I only step on it little on ramps.

the story should be
"How dangerous people can be when they don't know how to drive"

That guy was going to get on a wreck no matter what kind of car he was driving.

Cars and Coffee?

...and what is it? 760i? Stage 1,2,3 means nothing unless you reference the builder or what that actually means. I can say I have a stage 1 turbo, means nothing, masterpower T76 1.00 AR T4 means something. Of course, you are probably talking about something much larger, or two slightly larger.

I had a '98 Camaro Z28 with intake, Hooker headers, Borla exhaust, 410 rear end, lowered, B&M short-throw, Nitto Drag Radials, K&N filter setup, and bored mass air flow. Used to take it to Baytown and bracket race. Last run was 12.46 @ 113 and a 1.68 60'. Got banished because anything under 12.5 requires a full roll cage. Sold it a few years back with 91,000 hard-drive miles. Fun days those. Had a club back then called Houston F-Body Club, dunno if they're still around.

Im pretty sure baytown has always been 11.49 and faster for a cage.
