not sure what that means, but I believe lightening the driver is lighten the racecar. obviously our camps disagree on this

1.6liter V6, similar to the Honda's that dominated a while back

Regardless, you're right. Here are the rules from the website:

A roll bar is required on all cars running 11.00 (7.00) to 11.49 (7.35) and in convertibles running 11.00 to 13.49 and in all dune buggy type vehicles running 12.00 and slower. See the NHRA Rule Book for more detailed information.

BS. It has always been 11.49 or lower. Street imports had to start installing them in the early 90's. Check Palmdale and the Battle of the Imports.
