a pappas in pearland....lol....good luck on that one as I already know how that will turn out..at least it'll cut down the 610 location traffic....

nearly $30 for fried shrimp...how can this place stay in business at times....they used to be very reasonable for brunch at the richmond location as you could beat the system and eat all you want for $18 bucks.....that changed quickly overnight

hbcu..what do you mean? It will mean big business for Pappadeaux's and Pappasitos. Those places will stay packed. I can't wait since I love their food and drinks, especially those margaritas at Pappasitos!..

They jacked the prices up as the brunch matched the rest of the prices as you could actually come out on top with their brunch

The new location will be packed as it'll take all the south side folks and shift them there

Pearland will get upscale restaurants when it becomes an upscale city.

I dont think that many people even go to upscale dining establishments, unless its for a special occasion that happens once a year like a birthday or anniversary. what makes those places special are the locations...the long waiting list...the cooks, the staff, etc....you cant replicate that when you have locations all over town.

If you really think of upscale eating places in Houston, they are all clustered around river oaks, upper kirby, memorial, and around the villages off of I-10, where you are paying to eat among the old geezers, old political guard or old money.

as for Pearland, its a bedroom community where the vast majority of residents leave everyday to work in the med center or downtown. When people come home, they are interested in getting food quickly or to go to feed their families. The restaurants that are there now serve that purpose.

I dont know if its fair to compare Pearland to Sugarland or the Woodlands in terms of food choices, but certainly Pearland has much more options than those people in Missouri City, and even Katy, who also dont have any of the Pappa's empire out there
