Hi there. We are moving to Houston and don't know much about it. Is there anywhere that fits, or is close to fitting, the following criteria? We have been out there once and plan on spending more time there. This would just help....

. Budget $300k max
. Safe. Low crime
. Community activities
. Activities for toddler/preschoolers
. Everything within a 15 or so minute drive
. Commute isn't an issue...working mainly from home

Almost any suburb will have MPC houses that fit those criteria. Katy, Richmond, Sugar Land, Cypress... Drive around those areas to see which best fits you.

No need to be rude. Just answer the question about what an mpc is or don't.
A quick search of Google does not really clear it up if you don't already know what it stands for.

SugarLand and Woodlands are the two nicest suburbs there IMO. Not sure if $300k max still gets you much in them though.

It's tight for those areas in that budget.

For that budget I think Friendswood or kingwood would be better. kingwood is beautiful and the best bang for your buck in my opinion.

Cy-Fair area is good. It's a school district that serves the area north of the Houston area.

Go on har.com and search in your price range. It really has low inventory right now, so it really boils down to which place has the home that appeals to you the most.

I would suggest Cypress, Cinco or Kingwood.
