I just moved to the woodlands, and I am a registered nurse. I looked up the two hospitals here (St. Luke's and Mem. Hermann). Does anyone work as a nurse at one of these hospitals or know someone that does? If so, how do they like it? What are the negatives and positives of their job? Also, I want to look outside of the hospital for positions. Does anyone know where would be the best place to look? Any help would be much appreciated!

Oh lucky you you have so many options.
Sadler Clinic, Memorial Herrman, Conroe Regional, HealthSouth, just to name the big ones
Stay away from St. Luke's, they have changed head administrators so many times in the last years, and employees were not happt. Then again, they might have a better boss and better morale.
I love Sadler Clinic...their people are great!
But you can pick and choose!

Hello

There is a nursing school inside Montgomery College - I am sure they would love to help advise you informally and I have heard that they produce excellent nurses so they will have their fingers in all the recruiting pies. Nursing school is really hard, so well done you on achieving such qualifications. (There is also the hospital in Tomball which lots of people seem to like and is an easy communte via Woodlands Parkway.)

Good luck.
