NE and West Coast transplants happened and they've brought their rude and self-righteous ways with them.

Houston had such a better vibe 10 years ago. City is mostly *******s now.

beautiful homes online there, but I think it might be too far to commute to IAH from there sadly :-(

Hmm, I think he'd want to go out of IAH vs Hobby..more direct flights and larger schedule. But I think it's either be closer to the bay and farther from the airport or vice versa. Will have to see what the traffic is like to Bush from there. Something to think about though!!
No, I think the Lake Houston area in general would be more down to earth mainly because Kingwood/Atascocita do not have the snob appeal that the Woodlands does and are not attracting those types. It does have much of the same aesthetics though snuggled in the East Texas pines as well.

That's exactly what we are looking for..love the trees here, it makes you feel as though you aren't right on top of your neighbors and also adds some much needed shade. Will do some more looking there..Thanks!

Considering your desire to fly out of IAH I think Kingwood/Atascocita are your best choices, the only other option I would suggest might be looking further into Montgomery County in between The Woodlands and Conroe...

New Homes at Woodforest - Montgomery County

We spent 4th of July on Lake Conroe, and I liked it there as well, but don't know really what the "feel" of the area is besides right where we were that night..would love to stay out of the snobby Woodlands area.

We close on a house in Sandalwood next month and I think the neighborhood is quite lovely and charming. Three lakes service the neighborhood making it feel like summer camp!
