I know the Galleria quite well. Sure it caters to wealthy folks but when I say less affluent shoppers that is exactly what I mean, I didn't say poor people. Macy's, Gap, American Eagle, Champs, Footlocker, Forever 21, H&M are some that come to mind that are not affluent shops and there are many more.

Your hatred for the galleria seems unhealthy and odd. I've never seen someone so upset with a mall or the people that enjoy going there. If you don't like it don't go there.

They’re probably just mad and bitter because they can’t afford to buy anything there and can’t do anything but people watch.

I don't think your brain comprehends what is going on here, you need to either relax, or get your handler to calm you down. My precious Galleria Mall? What? I've made zero comments about my opinion on the mall. I've been there maybe 3 times, it's not in my area and it's not on a list of the top 1,000 things that enter my mind. The fact you are losing it over a building shows a lack of connection to reality. I hope you continue whatever help I'm sure you must be required to take.

Trust me, I don't. I've been going there since I was a child and stopped going because it started to become overrated.Memorial City and Willowbrook Malls are my go-to malls because I get so much more for my money there.

False. I could afford whatever's there because my money is right, but I choose to be smart with my money. Why spend more at Galleria when I can get multiple outfits at Willowbrook or Memorial City for less, and of the same or better quality?

That Houston heat must have fried your brain because this was an observation, you do know what an observation is, right?

It's just a mall. Are you seriously getting this upset over it. It's odd that you're ranting about a mall you don't even go to anymore.

This thread has gotten quite entertaining. I've never seen someone so in their feelings about a mall. Who ruined the Galleria for you bro?

Just for the record, I have a feeling I was a kid around the same time as you (currently 32 y/o), also grew up in the hood, and definitely used to shop at the Galleria as a broke teenager (though there was a lot of hanging out and people watching mixed in too). There were places like Champs, Footlocker, Lids, etc. that were generally priced pretty much the same as they were in Willowbrook, Memorial City (which wasn't really a thing back then), West Oaks, or my personal goto at the time, First Colony.

I liked the Galleria then, and still feel its Houston's best mall. I like Memorial City (now), and First Colony, and ROD/Highland Park too. I think a lot of people agree with me here. Why is that controversial? You can find deals there if you're a savvy shopper, just like anywhere else, and the mall is certainly not exclusively upscale stores, nor has it ever been.

I don't get it, but its certainly entertaining to say the least.

The reason the Galleria is so great is because these days, it’s a fit for all. Just luxurious enough for rich people to enjoy. But they have not as expensive stores to where the lower income level people can shop. So essentially some of everything.

On the other hand, the River Oaks District is for the richest of the rich.
