My girlfriend and I live in Countryside and we love it. It's between 5-10 mins from I-45 (depending on whether you take Bay Area Blvd. or 518) and actually you're even closer to groceries, post offices, restaurants, etc. in Friendswood than League City. It's certainly easier to get into Friendswood because you don't have to cross 45.
