I think the brac and missle defense jobs will probably move steady now, instead of at the rapid pace it did with the Bush administration.Barrack Obama big thing will be energy. I think the state of Alabama needs to get more involve in that.

There's this one little tiny federal government organization known as TVA. What the acronym stands for escapes me but I'm told they have something to do with the energy.

Maybe he means the rest of the state not North Alabama. Remember the first reactor in nearly 20 years or so was started at Brownsferry the other year. There are serious plans of rebuilding the unfinished reactor in Scottsboro. North Alabama is ahead of the curve in energy thanks to FDR. I would appreciate that we start some investments in green energy such as solar, wind, clean coal, etc.

So you want the beautiful natural areas of northeast Alabama to be destroyed by urban sprawl and cookie cutter subdivisions?

Natural gas off the gulf of Mexico is one way, but that wouldn't help North Alabama.I just learn that California is all about this new clean energy movement, building gigantic solar grids, wind mills, and developing hybrids and better fuel efficient cars.Huntsville will be fine through because it is an important base for our military and new developments in NASA.I think Mobile Al will be one of the most rapid growing cities in the nation. It will be able to bring both entertainment and industry for people.

Well, now they're talking about the bad environmental impact of wind farms and giant solar grids. I can't see wind providing that much power here...nor do I think there is available land. This land here is more valuable for growing crops. At least...I think it is.
