I've been doing some research on the various bedroom cities around Boise and as far as I can tell, Caldwell has some of the nicest houses for the cheapest amount of $$$. But then I've come across posts saying that Caldwell has bad crime and gangs. Is this really true? It seems like the newer neighborhoods are rather nice and the older neighborhoods on the main street would be more "crime ridden". I live in a suburb of Denver and have never dealt with gangs or had any serious crime around my area. Although I hear about plenty of murders/rapes/gangs/etc on the news nightly. What can be said about Caldwell?
I would be most interested in someone living in Caldwell to respond.

Thanks for you comments.

Not only is Caldwell a bad place to live, right now I would say Idaho in general is a bad idea..............our local economy is going south.

Ever think about Iowa?
