My opinion is until all you eat comes from locally grown farmers that you know who they employ then you have no room to holler about illegal immigrants. If you continue to buy you fat filled, over processed food and your meat slaughtered at Iowa Beef, Tyson, Simmons, Smithville Farms or the like then YOU are part of the problem.

Read the article on Iowa Beef slaughter house in Nebraska.

Meatpacking industry has a long history of reliance on immigrant laborer | Greeley Tribune
And your perpetuating anti-Americans, which makes YOU part of the problem.

And they should have to pay a fine for sneaking in, any back taxes, and learn English. We are going through an economical disaster right now, so yes the borders should be tightened to prevent any more from coming. TEMPORARILY until we can get our economy back on track.

Yes, I have illegals in my town that are protected by the churches. They receive lots of help with food, places to live and their children are US citizens. My daughter was married to an illegal and he was deported. He tried to sneak back over, but now has to wait ten years before he can even apply for a work visa here. He was a trained carpenter, not someone stealing another man's job. He worked on the ethanol plant in several different states and made quite a lot of money. They aren't all berry and vegetable pickers, nor do they want your jobs. How many of you stand for hours in meat packing plants? Or on top of a hot roof in the summer repairing it because of a hailstorm?

So, don't jump my ass, it's our country that wanted cheap labor, so blame the employers, not the hispanics.

First let me make clear that all that oppose illegal immigration are well aware that the employers that hire them are a big part of the problem.
None of us like it and want that to change and heavy penelties invoked on them.

The employers that will hire them may be a draw but still no one made them enter this country illegally.
No one except themselves.
That is a stone cold fact.

You call those here illegaly "undocumented workers".
That is nothing but changing what they are, illegal, to something that sounds like, "Oh, it's a minor technicality.

That is not the case and in your heart you know it whether you will admit it to yourself or not.

You say, "If they commited no crime".
Too late, they did when they crossed the border illegaly showing themselves to not be a good candidate for citizenship.

You say your son in law wasn't stealing a job from anyone because he is a Carpenter.
How about other Carpenters perhaps?

I am an Electrician by trade and see companies with the majority, yes the majority, of employees being from Mexico.

Among them by their own admission and by that being corroborated by others (from Mexico) that work there are many illegals.
Very many.

I know many United States Citizen Electricians out of work.

So much for your theory there.
Our wages have stagnated even before the econmy got bad due to this also.

Communication on the job is very poor and that makes a dangerous job even more so.

I have dug ditches, been a janitor, a laborer, etc..

That they do jobs no American wants is a lie.

How dare you insult your countrymen with these false arguments.

Are you afraid to call it what it is?

There is no excuse, none.

If people keep buying from corporations and/or employers who actively recruit, hire, and abuse illegal immigrants then those people are supporting illegal immigration.

Corporations that Iowa Beef, Tyson, Simmons, Smithville Farms, Con-Agra know that most people are too lazy or too poor to hit them where it hurts; their bottom line.

Anyone can make lame excuses and scream like a banshee. Heck, that's easy. It isn't as easy to find the source of the problem and that source are the corporations that have a monopoly on your food source.

Of course, Chicanos work in other industries. Not every Mexican is illegal and not every illegal is Mexican.

If someone makes nearly 100% of their posts on one subject then they have allowed themselves to become so hysterical about that subject that objectivity is impossible due to lack of emotional control.

That has become a tired, worn out cliche. That crime is a misdomeanor.

But that's all you can come back with?

That's no reply to what "Chicagonut" said.

As I said before, there is no way of knowing for sure who is hiring illegal aliens and who isn't. So you would have our entire economy collapse by citizens not buying anything from anyone because the business owners MIGHT have illegals working for them? Those meat packing places have been raided and since then they have to hire legals to work for them so why are you acting like they still do it?

100% of the posts are on one subject? Excuse me but there are a lot of subject topics in here that we all participate in. The forum is about illegal immigration should we be talking about knitting instead?

The lack of emotional control is on both sides of this issue and you know it. People have strong feelings on both sides of this issue. So your point is?

Of course not. The pro-illegals only lay guilt on the employers but want to completely absolve the illegals of any as if they are ignorant children who have no knowledge of our laws and too immature to be held accountable for their part in this mess. I repeat they are both guilty and the third party of guilt is our government for allowing this mess to happen in the first place.

Yeah, no big deal of course. Add to that the I.D.'s, jobs, benefits they steal after crossing our border illegally and many who commit serious crimes and yeah no big deal. Let's give em all citizenship. Great candidates!

Without the corporations hiring them then they wouldn't be here. That isn't too difficult to grasp, is it?

Duh, no job, no illegal.
