Title sums it up pretty good.

Quote:
Hispanic groups are reminding the president that they played a large part in helping him win in 2008, and could play the difference in many battleground states in his reelection effort

"played a large part"? Not if you look at the numbers.

Obama can have all the Hispanics vote for him and it won't make a difference if he doesn't have the support of the majority of Americans.

Reform? or amnesty? Reform to me is to look at whats broken and modify it. Streamline it, make it better. calibrate it to meet the needs of this nation.
What the pro-illegals want is a free pass for the millions who never even attempted to immigrate here legally. A pass for those individuals who ignored our laws and rights as a nation. In short amnesty.
Our policies should reflect the needs of this nation. Not the wants of a select group.

All the liberals will continue to support Obama and if he gets the majority of hispanics to vote for him which he probably will, Obama will get a 2nd term.

My favorite part of this argument is people all crying about "if you kick out the illegals you will split up families."

If you want to keep the family together send them ALL back to wherever the illegal came from.

The Hispanic vote did not make a significant difference(at least not as much as the media touted) and the liberal vote certainly wasn't enough last November.

I don't understand how Hispanics will be crucial in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and even Virginia places Obama needs to win.

This could backfire on him. Amnesty was killed last time around because folks like myself, independent, fair minded folks, were appalled that law breakers were going to be rewarded and allowed to keep their ill begotten jobs and we flooded Capitol Hill. I understand their switchboard crashed twice as a result.

Guess they don't mind getting used for the democratic cause. And they get!~ In the good graces of this president. This is just sick.

Hispanics are not a large voting segment anyway...their participation numbers are atrocious. This is a ploy to try to get votes. Obama cares more for non citizens than he does for the citizens of this country. If you love them so much Obama, then run for president in Mexico. I doubt they would even care about your birth certificate
