Um, what? No.

I think that public policy is difficult, and lawmakers frequently make poorly constructed laws. Do you seriously not see the problem with your line of argument here? You could use it to defend the status quo regarding ANY law. Surely there is at least one law you disagree with.

Would you let anyone from another country go through our airports unchecked?

How much would this cost? Now, would that be more expensive, less expensive, or about the same as enacting legislation to allow a path to citizenship?

Please comment on the following laws. Are they good laws? Just laws? Laws worth obeying absolutely? Laws put in place for the protection and well being of the general public? Laws that should be enforced to their fullest extent?

  • In Georgia, all sex toys are banned.
  • Also in Georgia, no one may carry an ice cream cone in their back pocket if it is Sunday.
  • In Arizona, when being attacked by a criminal or burglar, you may only protect yourself with the same weapon that the other person possesses.
  • In Alabama, dominoes may not be played on Sunday.
  • Obamacare recently became federal law
  • In Wisconsin, all yellow butter substitute is banned.
  • In Mississippi, they used to charge poll taxes, and make citizens take literacy and comprehension tests, before a citizen could vote.
  • In Iowa, a man with a moustache may never kiss a woman in public.

Was that supposed to answer my question? Because if that's actually an answer, my apologies, but I don't really understand, could you please try restating it?

Are you implying that making it easier for people to move to the US can't be accomplished without somehow making foreigners exempt from any airport screenings? I am at a complete loss to see how these two things are at all connected.

You are comparing apples & vegetables.

Would you let millions of unchecked immigrants in at the airport?

why don't you try answering my question first before getting all indignant about me ignoring your question that has zero to do with the topic (and, let me just add that it's absolutely mind-boggling that you're getting all huffy and puffy about this given your complaint JUST ONE POST BEFORE THIS about someone else comparing apples and oranges (even though you couldn't quite explain why they were apples and oranges (hint: that's because they aren't))).
