In case you were not aware Border Patrol and ICE are Federal agencies operating under DHS and DOJ mandates to catch and release.
Governor Perry has already been told by the DOJ in the past to "stand down" when he wanted to send the Texas National Guard down to the border to help the Federal Border Patrol agents.

This. The illegal population in Texas has exploded during the time Bush and Perry were in the governor's mansion (or Rick Perry's very expensive rented accomodation after the governor's mansion burned down).
The state government in Texas has pretty much encouraged this.
It's a long walk from Russia too, but we have enough illegals from there too. Announcing that we won't hold illegals accountable is the same as sending an invitation.

They are also sneaking right in with illegal aliens supposedly coming here to work. We need to stop "all" illegal immigration and that means securing our country in every way. No one is suggesting that we only guard our southern border.
