It seems more and more like CIR is coming no matter that we like it or not. These Repug goons refuse to stand up on principle that these people are here illegally. If they cannot stand up for the rule of law on this issue, then WHO can?
"Representative Eric Cantor, the No. 2 Republican in the House of Representatives, said Congress could make quick progress on immigration if lawmakers agreed to give citizenship to children - an idea he opposed when it came up for a vote in 2010 as the DREAM Act."
Can't say I'm surprised as I find the Republicans to be the world's biggest hypocrites on this issue but I'll say it anyway -- Pandering sell out idiot
I have to agree although if we take the Dreamies most of who are Mexican or South American,a good compromise would be to limit immigration from those countries for 10 years to keep the balance of cultures in the USA. Then tell the Dreamies parents that the US Tax payer has done enough for their illegal family and it is time for them to go back home. If they want to come back to the USA, get to the back of the line. We are now accepting their children who we've often paid for since birth and including the birth.

To think only two years ago...all these kids wanted was to go to college. Now Obama and the congress leap-frog over that debate and are offering CIR. Cantor offering Dream act now is like someone yelling at the ship the want to get on as it leaving port...
If you support illegal immigration and are a republican then your career will come to a sudden end.
Not really. Lindsay Graham won a majority over all five opponents - and he is VERY pro-immigration reform. He was on Face The Nation this morning outlining the argument.
Immigration isn't the only reason Cantor lost - and the GOP is doomed if they don't try to figure out a way to get the huge Hispanic voting block to at least consider that party.
No,no. If GOP continues to ignore the issue, it will go the way of the Whig. Demographics are inexorably against them - and getting worse every nine months.
