Yes, and they'd better have bi-lingual Dutch classrooms for my kids (if I had any). I want no "immersion" - they must be taught in Dutch!!

Rigth on . Its getting old . People use racism as a crutch far too much in the nation.

My answer to that is , Don't blame me if you refuse to get an education .
English should very well be the default language of America.
and there is'nt a damn thing wrong with it .
To hell with political correctness........;

No they shouldn't have to learn english as no need for it.
Many communities do not use english and no need for it.
If you want to speak english that is great if you rather not learn it than great. Its an individual choice .

If a person fails to learn English while living here in the USA.............they are hurting only themselves.

ArizonaBear is right.

Bianca: Why don't you give me the names of some universities in the U.S. where you can get a four year degree and not speak English.

Really by not learning English they are hurting themselves financially in a huge, huge way.

I live in a gentrifying neighborhood and many of the folks being displaced by the high property taxes are those who do not speak English. Now if they had learned English maybe they would have gotten better jobs and be able to pay their tax bills. Of course they make themselves out as the victims...................
