The problem is not "Trumps policies" as much as you wish it was. They are claiming asylum seeker when only a very low number of them qualify, but have to go through the process until vetted hence being released. They're using it as a loophole and overwhelming the system, negatively affecting those running it and the true asylum seekers.
Take it up with ICE. It was their claim, not mine.
It is the economy stupid! Things are going well here in the US. They are NOT going well in the countries these people are coming from! Large numbers left when our economy went in the tank. Wouldn't it make sense that they would return when things are going much better? Has nothing to do with Trump policies.
The whole premise of this thread is disingenuous because the article explains the difference of the illegal immigrants arriving now as compared to past administrations and the laws that make it difficult to deal with it as it is now with the influx of families rather than singles. The administration does not write the laws or provide funds to deal with immigration. Congress does and they won't get off their collective asses to fix it.
