They are also opinions, and we are all entitled to have one. Can you provide irrefutable evidence that the majority of legal immigrants support amnesty?

Why in the world would they have views like that? Isn't that a slap in the face of all legal immigrants ?
My wife who is a legal immigrant does not agree with them. She in fact does feel that granting amnesty to the illegals is wrong. She actually comes from a country that is still suffering from that very mistake. Thailand granted amnesty to the Burmese illegals. They're industry has paid a heavy price and is still paying for this mistake.

i dont think anyone would disagree with requiring proper screening. i think its going to be mandatory.

but lets say illegals are granted amnesty, with the provision that they submit to increased scrutiny, do you think the criminals would come out and subject themselves to that?

when a path is created we will all see that the majority of illegals will not worry about the increased inspections.

the small few who are criminals will, and they will continue living in the shadows, except it might become increasingly harder to hide once a path is open. it would be suspect if someone still remains illegal when a path is open to legalization.

either way, GOOD ARTICLE.

this issue is very complicated, with myriad views. thanks BKnight. people think that all latinos, all immigrants, all US citizens are a monolith. they arent. they have divergent views. sadly some people dont get it. but what can you do.

Can you provide irrefutable evidence that the majority do not? Doesn't the so called "anti-illegal" crowd claim to speak for all americans and label those who have different views on this issue "un-american"?

News Flash: It's already mandatory for legal immigration.

By "criminals" are you referring to those guilty of ID theft, fraud, document forgery, tax evasion, etc? Or, are you simply referring to gang members, murderers, rapists, and other ‘violent’ criminals.
