Beginning today, the U.S. government will collect DNA samples from immigrants arrested and detained, despite concerns that the move violates their privacy rights.
The new Department of Justice policy also will expand DNA collection to people arrested on suspicion of committing federal crimes. Previously, the government only obtained DNA from people convicted of certain crimes.
Read and weep: illegal aliens----------the ICE hammer is fixin' to come down a lot harder now.

If in our city we cannot manage this how do they propose to manage it with highest confidence at a country level? The CDC can't even do proper drug testing and the US public relies on them.

Not whining as you assume and are quick to spew out. I actually support but with caution. DNA is the only thing that is identity theft proof. Mismanagement is counterproductive and discredits such programs.
Why do I get a sickening feeling the next hot news story will be: "Identity Theft of DNA BY Illegals". They already stole my identity recently to get cell phones....my cost almost $2,000!

I was one of the lucky ones as the loser got caught.
While there is a risk of mismanagement inherent in any “human” activity; I believe this is necessary. DNA has proved to be invaluable in law enforcement. Mistakes will be made, but the benefits far outweigh the risk of errors.

And; quite a few falsely accused people have been exonerated by DNA testing as well.
