Immigrant poverty bill may die | clarionledger.com | The Clarion-Ledger

Quote:
"The second point would be if you're talking about how illegal immigration will affect poverty, I just don't think that legislation is going to help us anyway," Fillingane said. "The bottom line is they shouldn't be here. They should go back to their home country and we shouldn't be looking at it beyond that."
It's nice to know that MS politicians are waking up to the burdening illegal aliens. Political correctness doesn't seem to be so ingrained over there.

I wonder how long it will be before other states will follow suit.

Until we as US citizens force our politicians to put us, and not illegal imigrants first, the PC ideal will never die. Maybe this current economic crises is starting to wake some folks up.

The tension is growing; trust me.

If the illegals (most of whom are either Mexican or from Central America) were smart: they would be hightailing it back SOB before they are detained then forceably deported.

We know this is true, but many of these illegals think they have the upper hand. With things going the way they are in our government, it's now time for citizens to stand againts the takeover of our nation themselves. WE safeguard the communities we live in, not our government. Only WE can do something about this issue.

The illegals no longer have the upper hand here in Arizona--------------if anything, they are petrified and have indeed been leaving in droves.
