"Unlike in the House bill or legislation passed by the Senate's health committee, the Finance Committee is aiming to include verification requirements. Anyone who tries to get subsidized coverage through the new health insurance exchange would have to provide valid Social Security numbers. Aides are working through the weekend to complete how that requirement would be implemented. "
I love it.

The question is how will they validate those SSN's and will the defrauders be prosecuted? It seems that Team Obama is less than willing to force the issue.

I assume they would validate the same way they do now.
you never know, you could be right.
but things are not always what they seem.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Nothing will change. They will flood the emergency rooms, just as they do now, and us tax payers will always pick up the tab, no questions asked.
Just bend over. It is coming harder and faster this time.

Right..and SS cards cannot be used for identity and surely cannot be used as proof of citizenship. Where, besides this bill, takes someone's SS as proof of US citizenship ?
Bizarro World folks..and this coming from elected officials.

So what form of ID would you ask for ( or invent ) that would be absolute undisputable proof of citizenship?
What "filter" would we use to make sure that Illegals dont get undeserved benefits?
right now a social security number is the only thing we have linking us to our citizenship.
we have to deal with the now.
It will never be perfect until every person wakes up in the morning and say's
"you know? I think I will be honest from now on."
that will never happen.
so aside from doing nothing at all, wich the republicans have done wonderfully for at least 8 years now
what should we do now?

We really need something tied to finger prints or retina scan. IMO it would be worth the cost considering that the cut down in fraud would probably almost pay for it.

<<The question is how will they validate those SSN's>.
They can use E-verify, like employers do.
