Illegal immigration happens/is happening because small businesses need cheap labor.
Unfortunately the masters have not changed one thing-immediate citizenship to the offspring of foreigners born in US.
That is/was the stupidest thing in the history of the US.
The US citizen kids do not want to do the dirty jobs now.
So the cycle goes on.
So maids, cleaners and laborers have to keep coming across the name sake border.

Not always true: many employers will not hire Americans since they would have to pay workman's comp as well as minimum wage hence them preferring illegal aliens.
And in this deep recession; the jobs you listed would be of interest to older Americans/green card holders as well.

Baloney! It isn't true that our citizen kids won't do those entry level jobs besides the illegals aren't staying on those kinds of jobs anyway. They are taking construction and other blue collar jobs that Americans are still willing to do.
If a business has to pay sub standard wages and break our laws to survive then perhaps he shouldn't stay in business. For any jobs that an American just won't do (and it is mostly only picking crops) visas are available for legal foreingn workers.

Of course, the illegals come here for here economic reasons. They come here because there are people willing to employ them and churches to feed them!
The stupidest thing in American history is the immediate citizenship to ayone born in US soil.
The children of illegals being US citizens if born in US look down on thier parents jobs, and so there is still no people to do the maid's and cleaners job. So,the cycle continues.
It is mostly the new legal immigrants who employ the illegals. I am not generalising , mostly hispanics, Asian Indians and orientals.
It is greatest win win combination they make out of this partnership.
