And yes I did...read again.
Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, etc. were also 'God's people'. In other words: we owe illegal aliens nothing----------they are nothing more than common criminals and need to be dealt with accordingly.

It all depends on whether or not that business man has any morals or scruples and honors the laws of our country. Obviously you think it is ok to break the law to stay in business. Funny how an American was paid a decent wage until the illegals came on board. The auto companies went broke? lol. You really believe that?

No the US Auto companies went broke for other reasons.
An uncompromising Union that forced a horrendous retirement program on the big 3.
Short sighted leadership.
Short sighted Government interferance ( not to mention corrupt)
Lop sided Trade agreements that did not protect US manufacturing.
Poor product design once again poor leadership.
These caused the down fall more than anything else. Payroll is comparable to what Japanese auto makers are paying.

Can you give an example of humor that ISN'T at the expense of someone? ALL jokes, parodies, and the like, cause people to laugh at SOMEONE, or some group. Mark Twain, the famous gringo author, once remarked, "There is no humor in Heaven". Twain meant that every joke has a 'butt'...and only in a 'perfect place' would this not be so. Here on Earth, we laugh...and if we're not laughing at ourselves, we're laughing at someone else.

"God's children"?..OK. People who steal money are God's children; so are people who would LIKE to steal money, but who do not. Muslim terrorists are God's children; so are their victims. People who love others are God's children; so are people who hate others. Even ATHEISTS are God's children, though they may not like my saying so.

Illegal immigrants are God's children? Well, OK....Human beings, too? OK; no argument there, either....Thanks for reminding us.

Not all jokes...But some jokes are clearly wrong, and not meant at inciting humor. This was an example.

How does this contribute to the overall conversation?

Well, laws should change to benefit all persons. Actually, illegal immigrants don't really depress wages. They aren't typically in the same sectors as the average American.

And yes, the auto industry was hurting pretty badly...

Laws should benefit all legal citizens. They should be about what is right for legal citizens....
We should not be writing laws to benefit those who made the choice to come here illegally.

Why not have laws that benefits all persons in the nation? This will be MUCH better in the long run.
